"Coverboy" Cade Cassidy

Height: 6'

Weight: 185 lbs

Hailing From: Hollywood, California

Debut: August 4, 2002

Finisher: Coverboy

Somebody better grab a needle and some thread, because "The Coverboy" is ripped. The wiry Cassidy is an original ESW Tag Team Champion with the mysterious Shade. After Shade and Cade lost the ESW Tag Title to the Davidsons, Cade vented his frustrations on his partner, demolishing Shade with a vicious Coverboy Clash. Cassidy's feud with Shade was settled in a loss to Shade in a grueling casket match at Unsanctioned 2003.

Perhaps more than any other wrestler in ESW, Cassidy has numerous shots at the ESW Interstate Title. Cade defeated Shade in the opening round of a tournament to crown a new Interstate champion, but lost to Tommy Caliber in the finals. He got another crack at the Interstate Title at Red, White, and Bruised in a four-way elimination match against Caliber, Sakura, and Randy Walker.

An antagonist to fans from the beginning of his career in ESW, Cassidy had a change of heart at Fallout in September 2003, saving Ryan Hazard (later known as R-Haz) from a post-match beating at the hands of Chris Cooper. This led to a Belt at the Bar Challenge Match for the ESW Interstate Title against Cooper at Hardcore Halloween 2003. Cassidy nearly won the title until being attacked by Cooper lackey Benjamin Smythe.

Still as a fan favorite, he was turned on by Randy Walker during Walker's return at Reckoning Day 2004 in February and lost a subsquent match to Walker the next month. Perhaps feeling bitterness from this situation, at Anarchy 2004, Cassidy's old characteristics shined through when as he walked out on his partners Johnny Adams and Damien Alexander, costing them the six-man tag match they were in against Club Elite (Walker, Ice and Puma).

Cassidy now claims to be wrestling's first "sixth-generation" superstar. He says his great, great, great grandfather once made Abraham Lincoln submit to an anklelock. Over the summer, he went out and acquired the services of a self-proclaimed "personal assistant" Armand. However, all Armand appears to be assisting in is helping Cassidy cheat.

"The Coverboy" followed his walking out on the six-man tag up with walking out on a singles match against Johnny Adams, allowing himself to be counted out. If Cassidy thought that was the last he'd hear from Adams, he was wrong.

Cassidy and "The Inferno" met six months later at ESW Season's Beatings 2004. There, Cassidy cheated his way to victory over Inferno with the help of Armand. But all the enemies Cade has made along his way came back to bite him when Brett Mednik ran down to the ring to chase Cassidy and Armand off.
